NOTHOBRANCHIUS  (PETERS, 1868)
   The vast majority of Nothobranchius species are found in East Africa ranging from Somalia in the north to South Africa in the south.  There are a number of species found across the central African savannah.  All Nothobranchius are true annuals, but the location tends to dictate the length of incubation.  For the hobbyist, the difficulty of maintenance and breeding grades from very easy to extremely difficult.
