Epiplatys dageti monroviae is considered a subspecies of Epiplatys dageti dageti.

It occurs in swampy areas of the coastal savannahlands around Monrovia, Liberia.

A relatively easy species to breed, they will leave eggs in top-to-bottom mops.  Eggs hatch in 11-14 days at 70F.  Fry may be able to take newly hatch brine shrimp, but infusoria would be the best starter food. Keep in mind that in a container with Java Moss, the infusoria are already present.
