   Epiplatys chaperi schreiberi is most easily identified by the white edging to the caudal fin and greenish body coloration.  No credit given to photographer on ing.kil.palo-alto.ca.us

   Epiplatys chaperi sheljuzhkoi is a subspecies is considered a comman species in the Ivory COast near Abijan and lives in close proximity with Epiplatys dageti.  It can exhibit six barss of red spots on the flanks, the spots of this subspecies are larger than in other Epiplatys chaperi.  It demonstrates 5 transverse bars on the body, but in the males, often only a couple near the caudal region are visible.
