Epiplatys chaperi schreiberi is most easily identified by the white edging to the caudal fin and greenish body coloration.  No credit given to photographer on ing.kil.palo-alto.ca.us

Epiplatys chaperi scheiberi is a subspecies originally colled by Gerhard Scheiber in the coasdtal lowlands of the Ivory Coast and into Ghana.  A rainforest species, it lives in shallow swamps, brooks and rivers and savannahs.  Appears to be restricted to the upper Pra, Ankabra, Orin, Anum and Brim river drainages of southwestern Ghana.  The type locality is near Kumasi in western Ghana.

IIt is different than Epiplatys chaperi chaperi based on a lack of coloration on the body. The edges of the causal fin display a blue-white edging.

The species prefers cool water, but seem fairly easy to breed.  Bottom mops seem quite good.  Water incubation of 14-21 days seems fine.
